Globally, we stand at a critical juncture for cancer care. While we know more about cancer than ever before – with breakthrough advances in early detection, precision diagnosis, targeted treatment, and survivor support – we face an unprecedented challenge. Cancer rates are rising worldwide, yet most countries lack comprehensive strategies to prevent cancer and reduce its devastating impact on individuals, families, and societies. Despite promising innovations, investment in cancer care is failing to keep pace with the accelerating burden of cancer.
In response to this urgent challenge, AstraZeneca has led the development of the Transforming Cancer Care by 2040 white paper, in conjunction with a group of experts in the field of oncology.
Together, these resources take both short- and long-term perspectives to demonstrate the critical importance of cancer care transformation and identify key opportunities for action.
We call on all stakeholders to review the white paper and consider how you can use this to guide national efforts to drive changes in cancer care. For any questions or if you would like to submit a best practice example of an innovative approach to cancer control, please contact AstraZeneca.
